These four ingredient Oatmeal Bites are a huge hit at my house. My little guys have nicknamed them “yummy balls” and I love that they are as delicious as they are nutritious!
These are so easy to make! Have your children help you mix together 2 cups dry oats, 1 cup ground flaxseed, 1 cup peanut butter and 1/2 cup honey. Roll into small balls. (Good luck, my kiddos eat them faster than I can roll!) Store in the refrigerator.
When I make these, I usually roll out some small balls for the boys, some larger balls for myself and I put some of the loose combined ingredients in a container to use as granola throughout the week.
RD TIP- If you have never tried ground flaxseed before, I highly recommend adding to your grocery list this week! Just 2 tablespoons typically has 3g of fiber and 3g of protein. There is hardly any taste to it, so it is wonderful to mix in with foods your kiddo already likes and accepts. Ground flaxseed helps to bump up your child’s fiber intake which helps prevent constipation issues.
{Due to containing honey, I do not recommend these for babies under one years old}
